The Alzheimers Society is a national organistion which works to improve the quality of life of people affected by dementia in England, Wales and Northern Ireland  : www.alzheimers.org.uk

Age UK Haywards Heath runs a Saturday Club every month for people suffering with dementia, offering carers some respite whilst their loved one is looked after and entertained by a supportive team of helpers:  www.ageukwestsussex.org.uk

The Direct.gov website provides a wealth of information about support services and financial support available for carers:  www.direct.gov.uk/en/CaringForSomeone/, and the NHS run the Carers Direct website : www.nhs.uk/carersdirect/pages/CarersDirectHome.aspx

The Royal College of Nursing has a website containing information, resources, policies and strategies plus a host of other material : www.rcn.org.uk/dementia

Carers Support Service provides information and support, both pratical and emotional, to carers living in Crawley, Horsham and Mid Sussex:  www.carerssupport.org.uk

West Sussex County Council is reponsible for providing Social Services Care in Mid Sussex:  www.westsussex.gov.uk/living/social_care/adults.  The East Sussex equivalent can be found at www.eastsussex.gov.uk/socialcare/
